Akacia Medical Strengths

Where our story began


Our beginnings date back to 1999 when Safika Holdings formalised its intention to move into the healthcare arena with the formation of Safika Health. Several deals and acquisitions later, MSQ Health was established. On an acquisition trail; in 2016 MSQ Health purchased Akacia Medical Pty Ltd, and along with it Clinisut Pty Ltd. Restructuring within the group, and further acquisitions set in motion the formation of Akacia Medical & Healthcare Group – the company that ultimately evolved into who we are today. Along with this development, we welcomed our CEO, and a new and board was appointed – an experienced management team that is taking the business forward to its next zenith.

As a Proudly South African company, we are proud to be aligned with Government’s vision of producing world-class products locally and creating employment. Both our Cape Town and Port Elizabeth manufacturing plants are ISO 13485 accredited and meet stringent Regulatory Standards. This is testament to our commitment to produce quality products in the most environmentally-friendly and cost-effective way. With a staff compliment of over 350 we are united in our goal to maintain operational excellence and add value to our customers.
