Where our story began
As a subsidiary of Safika Holdings – one of the most respected investment houses in South Africa – we are part of an esteemed, admired and highly successful group. Our beginnings date back to 1999 when Safika formalised its intention to move into the healthcare arena with the formation of Safika Health. Several deals and acquisitions later, MSQ Health was established – the company that ultimately evolved into who we are today. On an acquisition trail; in 2016 MSQ Health purchased Akacia Medical, and along with it Clinisut. Restructuring within the group, and further acquisitions set in motion the formation of Akacia Medical & Healthcare Group. Along with this development, our CEO, Ronnie Krüger, and a new and board was appointed – an experienced management team that is taking the business forward to its next zenith.

Both our Cape Town and Port Elizabeth manufacturing plants are ISO 9001, and 13485 accredited and meet and exceed stringent European Regulatory Standards. This is testament to our commitment to produce quality products in the most environmentally-friendly and cost-effective way. Our 400-strong team keeps growing and we are united in our goal to maintain operational excellence and add value to our customers.
